Kawasaki A1 & A7 Piston reference

Pistons for the A series, as well as ring sets, are fairly difficult to come by.
Apart from using early TZ pistons and reshaping the heads (mucho$$), it’s best to look for them on eBay. The good point is that early F series pistons ARE absolutely the same, and command lower prices…

what pistons are you going to use in A1R. I was extremley lucky today in that I found 1 A1R cylinder in our barn and then tried to fit it on A7RA cases but it didn,t fit. then I tied it on stock A7 cases and it fits there. The ports sure are small in comparison to the A7RA but they match up to stock cases pretty well. hopefully I find the other tommorow

also the a7 and f3 pistons are not the same (top of piston pin to top of piston ht.), I bought numerous f3 piston and they don’t come to top of cylinder when fitted on crank

So F3 pistons are shorter… by how much?

hello, its approx. 3mm difference. top outer edge of piston to top of pin on f3 is 21.5mm, on a7 24.6mm. Do you know anyone that needs F3 pistons. Also do you still have the oil tank for H1R(fits under seat), if so, I need one. (A7RAE01 is set up for oil injection and pre-mix where as A7RAE04 was set up for pre-mix only and was in bike when I got it and there wasn’t oil tank in the spare parts) thanks Tom
