Strange Tach on a 69 Mach III

Japanese market Bike? No, if you were in Europe and ordered a replacement tach in the 70′s, that’s what you got. A bit garish, but at least you knew you were going fast! It seems there was another version with only the numbers and marks in red, much more discreet.
The law in Japan requires that you know (or see) that you are travelling over 80 km/h. More modern bikes (like my KR1) have a warning light in the dash.
