In theory, the winner is the rider with the closest difference in timing between two races… this doesn’t prevent people from going fast :-) .

So every year, the peaceful farming community of Corcelles hosts a classic hill climb. Memories of “The Wild One” come into mind as the village is perfumed with castor oil, two-stroke oil and the smell of burned gas. Look at the pictures and see you there next year!

The exhausts really wake the bog standard motor up. Walther's nicely modded T250 Purpose-made Jolly Moto exhaust. The Mayor's house, our headquarter for the week-end. Is that a leak? Yes, there’s a scuff on that side… who could be daft enough to try and ride this in the middle of winter? Not me, the previous owner… Just 16’000 km on the clocks, quasi mint. These bikes are normally NOT road legal here, but since this one came as part of a diplomats personal belongings, the State HAD to register it… and the registration stays that way even when you sell it when leave the country. :-)
Yours truly is sitting on the bike. this is the closest I got to buying a brand new bike…


Even the exhausts have been accepted into the bike’s paperwork.

Crossed a white line in front of a parking lot and a cop car materialized out of thin air. Things got pretty ugly as I wasn’t really in the best of shape, covered in plaster dust and looking pretty scruffy. The conversation took a definitely wrong turn when they decided my scooter was stolen. Errr no Sir, I’ve had it for 12 years and Yes Sir, I restored it myself 15 years ago.

Did I mentioned that of course 1) I didn’t have the scoot’s papers 2) I had just stuck my plates on it for a little errand and 3) YES I HAD CROSSED A WHITE LINE. It took almost 2 hours to sort all this business, with visits to the workshop AND the hous AND a full search in public… looking good :-(

This will net me a hefty fine as well as a denounciation to the judge for the lack of insurance… ouch.
